Bay Bike Adventures is a mountain bike tour operator based in Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands. We are owned and operated by the Bay Adventurer Backpackers and have our base at the same location. We offer a range of different tours to suit all levels of experience. Our team will make your Bay of Islands mountain biking experience fun, easy and exciting by offering pick-up and drop-off services, top of the range mountain bikes and trail tips and advice.
TWIN COAST TRAIL: OPUA-KAWAKAWA
The Twin Coast cycling trail runs from coast to coast at Northland region. Bay Bike Adventure offer the Self Drive experience Opua-KawaKawa-Opua. Departs from our base in a courtesy van to Opua. During 4 hours (half day) you will ride along the bike trail.
Waiting Mountain Bike Park
The Waitangi Mountain Bike Park is a community mountain bike park. It has been built by the efforts of our community. The park offers both beginner and expert levels with tracks ranging from grade 2 to the newly opened grade 5 tracks.
Harare Falls Self Drive Explorer
Haruru Self Drive experience departs from our base. We will provide you with a map of Paihia marked with all the ‘must-see’ locations. This ride will take you around paihia township, over the bridge to Waitangi, passed the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Waitangi Forest.
